As you all know, I had to kill by administrator Janq, Katro and Volks, because I know them as those who used bug to produce huge army. Of course they respawned, and can play with nice initial set of units and techs.
Janq claimed that it's unfair, and I should also remove Durandal.
So, first: experimental game doesn't need to be as fair as other LT games.
But, maybe I should also remove Durandal. Could someone except Janq confirm that Durandal used that bug too? Confirmation from Volks would be most valuable.
And second question is, how do you all think, should I remove Durandal?. Has he so many units that he is danger for all players, and game has no way to be played fair (Janq,Katro and Volks definitively was)?

I had clear signals about Janq+Katro from Marduk, and signal from Janq about Volks, which I confirmed when I was dead, and I saw his shitload of units.
So, I need confirmation about Durandal.

Well, I started off as Mordor and am still Mordor, so I obviously never respawned. Can't you just /observe me to see what units I have? I was the one janq was massing his units against, so take his accusations with a grain of salt.

It doesn't prove that you're not involved. They claim that you was receiver of units from Volks. But now it's your word against their ... so I need some external confirmation.

Player should be killed if he achieved shitload of units because of that, and became too strong to continue game. Autocreate doesn't mean that he did that.
BTW, I made /observe on Durandal (he agreed to that), and I think that he shouldn't be removed. I haven't noticed very high number of units.
Maybe I'm wrong, maybe it's unfair that I killed Janq,Katro and Volks but not Durandal. But I'm only admin ;), and errae adminum est.

I don't really know about this bug, and wat it is exactly, but...
My capital was taken by the islandic nation (with nation split) in a strange way on an island i think it was volks i think.
But now the Player is not here.
Maybe someone can explain me this bug

this *was* a major problem in the patched warserver, people could attack a city --- and then respawn... upto 6 times a turn, btw: have we fixed it so that people cant do global observing when they die?

When you die in a team Fog
When you die in a team Fog of war is removed, so you can still see quite alot.
I bagan examining this "bug" when wer where playing a game that had more water, since I thought knowledge of the map and good islands would be very tempting to share with enemies of your enemies.
I think adding a way to observe games would be nice, perhaps removing the team patch (if it is still used in LT10)

this is my log:
It was several turns ago when I started this game and got a regular caravel on the ocean. I found an empty land, I unloaded but there were some volks's units. Next turn I killed them and I founded some new cities. Of course, I prepared another attack to volks as well and in several turns I killed another his city so he became close to his dead. But suddenly, he gave all his cities to durandal.
Arround this time started this game katro as well. He started a bit north from me. He founded some new cities etc. .
Unfortunately, volks returned in the second turns with a new army he unloaded near to my capital and katro's cities as well. He beated them but he lost a lot of army and we blocked them by fortifing some units ner to his cities.
He seen that his situation is shity enough, so in the next turn he did the following:
- the embassy with durandal still worked. So he gave his cities to him and he started a new game. After that durandal gave him the cities back. I do not know exactly why, but they did it about 10 times in one turns.
After this situation I seen that I had lost my capital so I decided to make this trick as well. Next turn I gave all my cities to katro and I returned with new units&gold&research. After unloading katro done it as well.
Btw: it is not easy to get back to the same place, so sometimes the number of re-start have to be large
Conclusion: I don't believe that durandal got some units from this situation. But I am sure that he became as many inventions as was possible. Moreover he would never became city Tyre in a regular fight, and also my former city Sidon.
But the reason to kick is that DURANDAL and volks were the first players used this cheat.
make players wait 1 or 2
make players wait 1 or 2 turns before being able to respawn..

First time, they can respawn immediately. Second time - after 1 turn. Third time, after 2 turns, etc....
So if you respawn 31 times, you need to wait whole month to be able to respawn ;)

No hard feelings I hope, you found a bug and we got it fixed that's what matters. If Durandal did get too much tech, you will profit from this when you are added again.

It's not a bug, you have to decide wether it's a problem or not before solving it..
The problem: when you die you see all of the map.
Easy solution: Put everyone on their own team, that way they will not get the whole map when they die.
atm LTex doesn't use this team fix, perhaps someother fix I don't know I haven't died yet.
