Judging from recent forum posts (http://www.longturn.org/forum/...) it seems that LT10 is nearing its end.
The procedure for determining the end of a longturn game is like this: an alliance proposes itself as winners, and asks all other players to either surrender to them (disband defence, agree not to interfere in the game anymore) or state that they will keep fighting. If a player doesnt confirm his status he's assumed to be fighting on. This only applies to players that are not dead or idle and have at least 1 city (having one alpine hidden on a glacier doesn't count as being alive).
==> The alliance of Marduk, MrSynical, Edrim, Pipo and Haken claims to be the winner of LT10 <==

Players that have not surrendered:

- Janq
- Durandal
- Reksa
- Bluemoth
- Elrik
- Mmm
- Kernow

If you want to surrender just make a comment to this thread stating clearly that you surrender from LT10. When we can confirm that you disbanded your defence we add you to the 'surrendered' list.
We'll try not to harm your cities afterwards, so you dont drop in the score list (remember there's a victory point in the ranking list for the top 50% of players).
I surrender. But of course,
I surrender. But of course, I will play until whole my ally will not surrender as well.

Good point about the tech
Good point about the tech sharing, but I think it's better to require those with difficulty to work it out by e-mail or messaging. Tech sharing makes sense to me; the game would suffer without.
City-giving has its place in human history as well as in the game (make peace by settling for the inevitable, swap cities to consolidate territory), but it's probably misused more often than not. Limitations sound better to me, such as one city per five+ turns limit, or trade cities only, or something else. Then again, ceding one's empire is not unheard of in reality, but maybe it sucks for gaming.
I could see how the Great library (as I know it) would be too powerful when there are lots of players. On the other hand, that's what wonders are all about. How about changing it so you get whatever some proportion (i.e. 33%) of players have?
I don't see any issue with pyramids as I know them, and I can't find any description that differs. They just work like granaries, right? What's the problem? If it's that it makes no sense, my response is that wonders make sense in the big picture; make a big investment get a big return in the long term. That represents reality.
Grover, I think your message
Grover, I think your message is a bit out of place here ;) This is a list of LT10 players who want to surrender to a potentially winning alliance. There's a discussion on proposed rulechanges here: http://www.longturn.org/forum/...

It's your choice when you
It's your choice when you surrender, there's no hurry ;) I only opened this list because people started to talk about surrender elsewhere.

I think there are some
I think there are some players missing from the "Players that have not surrendered:" list.
Are you allowed to surrender if you are not on the list?
