Ultimatum for Yottael and Maho!
Today the unthinkable has happened: without warning or reason Yottael (Silesians) has suddenly attacked the alliance of Holland, Sweden and Ukrain! The attack was small and will easily be droven back, but it's consequences can be huge.
In a final sign of goodwill we offer Yottael peace if he immediately returns the city he captured, and pays a reasonable damage repayment. If not then he will be crushed without mercy.
We call upon everyone who wishes to be friends of our alliance to cancel their alliance with Yottael. Such a sign of friendship will be remembered and honoured, and everyone knows how far we go to assist our friends.
We will stay at peace with those who remain Yottael's ally, but our goodwill for those players would be gone.
Maho is a special case: you obviously helped Yottael in his reckless attack, as I see your trireme right next to the stolen city. That's what they call a smoking gun. So we present you an ultimatum: declare within 2 turns from now that you reject and condemn Yottael's attack on our alliance, and cancel your alliance with him. Otherwise you are at war with Holland, Sweden and Ukrain.

First of all, I'm only looking around. No helping. But I thinking about start after such ultimatum.
Second: I don't see reason why I should broke alliance with Yottael. He did nothing against me, in opposite to you (see below).
Third: you're obviously helping Haken to bite us, and nobody is making big halo about it.
Fourth: you obviously killed part of our alliance (Nero) (not saying about situation near Romans' border)
Fifth: You're threating members of our alliance, trying to force them to give you one-side shared vision to spy us.
So ... it doesn't look like goodwill :). As I said before your other comment, nice propaganda text, but not very consistent with facts.

Maho, you can't be surprised that I suspect your involvement in this attack. You are an ally of Yottael and your trireme has been in exactly that area during and after the attack. But if you are really just an innocent bystander then I can withdraw the ultimatum to you. But why are trying to put more oil on the fire? The purpose of an ultimatum is to give peace a chance rather than attacking right away. I understand that your alliance is not like the one of Sweden, Ukraine and me: our alliance gives full military support and coordination, while you don't even seem to know what your allies are doing.
Just tell me this: do you condemn the attack on our alliance? Can you declare that you have not and will not give support to the attack in any way whatsoever? If yes then this is not your conflict, and I'll fight it out with Yottael alone.
ps: To prevent these things in the future you should be more clear about your alliance. When any member of my alliance attacks someone, all of us can be held responsable because the attack must've had our support. How does this work for your alliance? Are you guys just a loose coalition who don't coordinate anything? Or do you only coordinate with your real allies? Ah well you wont tell the last thing in public..
pps: about point 2 to 5, we've allready talked about it. Haken is not our responsability, we supported him when we were at war with Nero's alliance (which Krwawy was part of). And everyone knows we had good reasons to attack Nero. And no we're not threatening anyone, but we welcome every trustworthy player who wants to join our alliance. Anyway this is all offtopic here.

Yes Krwawy, it does :) It includes everyone who is flexible and willing to adapt to the new situation. The prison has been opened, and every prisoner can now decide for himself what to do.
And know that we are not like Maho and Yottael, who attack their former ally Emj because of a thousand year old conflict.. We don't have the memory of an elephant, we're open to new situations and new proposals.

By bravely surrendering your cities to Yottael you showed us who your real ally has been all the time. And you left your 'semi-allies', your 'peripheral-allies' behind.
The alliance I'm part of doesn't have real and fake allies, we are all equally important and equally influential. We will see which model works out best in the end. Or maybe a 3rd worldpower will come and open up the game, we'll see.

Yes, I was one of initiators of our big alliance. Is it strange? Your alliance had some initiator too: you, Mambru or Elavoie.

As far I know, most of our alliance isn't my neighbours, and it would be very hard for me to fight agains them. And AFAIK nobody is afraid of me. They are rather afraid of you.

I heard "And AFAIK nobody is afraid of me.". Well dear ruler, respectable opposite, enemy, strong and fierce warrior, you are a little bit wrong on this one. We are glad to say that, we, Swedish peoples, are very very afraid of you, Polonese peoples.
The ruler of the inconvenient-tiny-buffer-zone, Krwawy, can testimony on this : when he asked us, after the surprising surrender of the Mighty (but childish attitude) former ruler Nero, what was our next target... Sweden answered very honestly : Poland. In fact, Poland is at LT6 what Nabuchodonosor was for the Ancient Babylone kingdom's neighbours.

well... they filled my garnizons with troops (to be honest - against your potential agression), they support me with technology and gold, helped me to secure from Haken's raids...
so, how does this sound to you compared to:
trespassing my territory without permission, destroying my ally (decreasing my income), deploying troops in my country, making military installations, bringing more troops (i've noticed recently you stregthen your forces at my border - i see more agressiv units like horseman and chariots)
lets peer at the score board - even it is not ideal it gives insight who made better bargains -

however the fact is that indeed horseman/chariot are more agressive units than pikemens and or rifleman (musketers?) - their purpose is not to defend, but to attack - especially considering their greater range comparing to 'defensive' units
